Organizational Details

  • Rehearsals: Regular weekly 2-hour rehearsals on Sundays from 11 AM - 1 PM.

  • Location: Rehearsals take place in South Philadelphia, only a 10-minute walk from the Tasker/Morris BSL Station. Note: Our rehearsal studio is up one flight of stairs.

  • Dues: Reasonable yearly dues.

  • Parking: Free parking available.


Voice Parts We Are Auditioning

We are currently open to auditions for all voice parts:

  • Sopranos

  • Mezzos

  • Altos

  • Contraltos

  • Tenors

  • Baritones

  • Basses

  • Beatboxers

Vocal percussion (beatboxing) and/or music arranging skills are not required but are a bonus!


Audition Process

Step 1: Submit Audition Form

  • Fill out the audition form below to provide your preliminary details and contact information.

Step 2: Preliminary Video Submission

  • You’ll then submit a video of yourself singing vocal warm-ups we share with you to demonstrate your range. This step is essential for us to understand your vocal range and prepare for your in-person audition. Instructions will be provided via email.

Step 3: In-Person Audition

  • Date & Time: Auditions are held in South Philadelphia on Sundays at 11:00 AM.

  • Process:

    • Introductions: Meet and greet current members.

    • Group Exercise: Learn and sing a small section of one of our arrangements with us to demonstrate your learning ability and blend.

    • Solo Performance: Sing an unaccompanied verse and chorus of a song of your choice to showcase your vocal ability.

    • Range Comparison: Possibly sing a well-known tune in two different keys for across-the-board comparison.

    • Q&A: We will ask follow-up questions and provide time for you to ask any questions you may have.

Step 4: Follow-Up

  • After your audition, we will review and discuss your performance and participation and we’ll follow up with you later that afternoon.
