Peggy is one of our favorite notables!
Peggy started with in Noteworthy in October of 2021 and has sung soprano and alto ever since. She sang a cappella in college at Wake Forest University in North Carolina, and was grateful to find an opportunity to continue singing a cappella after college. Through a quick Google search, she found Noteworthy and was immediately interested in this young adult group performing music from all genres.
Peggy is a social worker currently working as a therapist for adults with OCD and anxiety disorders in an intensive outpatient program.; however, she grew up in Jacksonville, FL and found herself here in Philadelphia when she enrolled in her graduate program at the University of Pennsylvania. Over time, she grew her network in Philly; she remembers, “I didn’t really know I was going to end up staying here, but it didn’t really matter where I ended up as much as it mattered the people I met here.” When Peggy finished graduate school in 2018, she decided to stay in Philly and become a permanent resident and begin her full-time career.
With a new job and a new apartment, Peggy had searched for another way to stay involved in the community.
And her experience with Noteworthy has been a really cool way to meet new people and stay connected with the music scene in Philadelphia.
Peggy has now set up roots here in the city of brotherly love with her new fiancé and plans to remain here and continue growing with the community.
Her favorite hobbies are many, but she thoroughly enjoys singing with Noteworthy. She is also an avid runner and loves to do yoga. Peggy also reads mysteries and thrillers and loves all of the Bravo TV shows.
In terms of the future, what Peggy wants to do is continue to expand her career. And she is currently working to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and hopes to make a difference helping young people who are struggling with OCD.
